HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Sasol's planned restart of its Sasolburg acrylates plant in South Africa after a 40-day turnaround has been delayed, a company source said on Thursday.
Minor start-up problems might keep the plant down for 2-3 more days, he estimated.
The source added that Sasol anticipates no supply interruptions to its customers because it has adequate safety inventory.
Further details about the restart problems were not disclosed.
Sasol's plant, which supplies the US market, produces 80,000 tonnes/year of butyl acrylate (butyl-A) and 35,000 tonnes/year of ethyl acrylate (ethyl-A).
