SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Kingboard Chemicals has cut operating rates by 50% at its 450,000 tonne/year methanol plant in Chongqing, south China, due to a shortage of natural gas, a company source said on Monday.

The gas shortage was expected to be resolved in August, the company source added.
