US gasoline prices down for the week - EIA

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--The US average retail price for regular gasoline moved lower over the past week for the first time in three months, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

The EIA said in its weekly commentary the average national gasoline price dipped by three-tenths of a cent to $4.079/ gal.

On a regional basis, the average price for the east coast slipped by half a cent to $4.047/gal.

The US midwest had the smallest change in the nation with the price falling by only a tenth of a cent to $3.996/gal.

The Gulf coast gasoline price dropped the most of any region, down 1.8 cents to $3.919/gal.

In Rocky Mountain region, the gasoline price topped $4.00/gal, rising 0.8 cents to $4.002/gal.

The price on the US west coast also increased by 0.8 cents to $4.46/gal.
