Salavatnefteorgsintez posts 80% jump in Q1 profits

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Major Russia petrochemicals producer Salavatnefteorgsintez posted first-quarter net profits up 80% year on year at roubles (Rb) 1.8bn on higher sales, the company said on Monday.

 

For the January to March period, the company’s sales rose 20% to Rb29.1bn, the firm added.

 

Earlier this month, Salavatnefteorgsintez reported it full-year sales for 2007 were up 28% year on year to Rb96.9bn.

 

Salavatnefteorgsintez is based in Russia’s internal republic of Bashkortostan.
