SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Sinopec subsidiary Zhongyuan Petrochemical will restart its cracker at Puyang in eastern Henan province on 8 July after a month-long turnaround, a company source said in Mandarin on Monday.

The 200,000 tonne/year cracker, which was shut on 3 June, was initially scheduled for a July-August turnaround, but the company decided to conduct the maintenance at an earlier date.

A total of six crackers at various Sinopec subsidiaries are scheduled for maintenance turnarounds this year.

Beijing Dongfang would shut its 160,000 tonne/year cracker for the longest period - 122 days - due to the Olympics.
