Mitsubishi Chem shuts SM unit for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS news) -- Mitsubishi Chemical has shut its styrene monomer (SM) plant over the weekend for a scheduled turnaround, a company source said on Tuesday.

 

The company operates a 371,000 tonne/year unit in Kashima.

 

The maintenance is planned for 40-45 days, with the plant expected to restart in mid-August.
