HOUSTON (ICIS news)--The NYMEX August contract  for reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygenate blending (RBOB) settled on Thursday at a record of $3.571/gal, up 2.16 cents from the previous high a day earlier.

Market participants said the RBOB settlement was driven up by recent record highs in the crude market and stronger demand for retail gasoline ahead of the 4 July holiday weekend in the US.
