LONDON (ICIS news)--German skincare and beauty products maker Beiersdorf plans to sell its Bode chemicals unit, Financial Times Deutschland reported on Friday.

A Beiersdorf spokeswoman told the paper that Bode, which makes products for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, was not part of its focus on consumer products.

Bode recorded sales of €70m ($110m) in 2007 and has around 280 employees.

Beiersdorf is the owner of the Nivea personal care brand and maker of Tesa adhesive tapes.
