SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures for July settled yuan (CNY) 810/tonne ($118.25/tonne) lower amid ample supply on Friday from a week ago.

Most of the trades this week were settled at CNY15,155/tonne for September futures, with 313,994contracts, or around 1.6m tonnes of material, traded down from over 440,000 lots last week.

Rumours that Sinopec would likely decrease the prices of chemical products next week also pulled down the prices, traders said.

In the physical market, spot prices on Friday were at CNY14,800-15,700/tonne ex-warehouse (EXWH) east China compared with CNY14,600-15,600/tonne a week ago.

Weekly details for Dalian LLDPE contracts are given in the table. Additional data can be found on the exchange’s website.
