CropEnergies expands German bioethanol capacity

TORONTO (ICIS news)--CropEnergies has completed a 100,000 cubic metre capacity expansion at its bioethanol production site at Zeitz in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, the producer said on Friday.

 

Following the €50m ($79.4m) expansion, CropEnergies’ capacity at Zeitz was now 360,000 cubic metres/year, making Zeitz Europe’s largest bioethanol plant, the company said.

 

CropEnergies expected to complete a 300,000 cubic metre bioethanol plant at Wanze in Belgium by the end of the year, it added.
