HOUSTON (ICIS news)--BP reached more out-of-court settlements in the trial concerning the 2005 explosion at its refinery in Texas City, Texas, the Houston Chronicle reported on Tuesday.
Terms of the settlements were not disclosed.
The settlements were reached with six men and four of their wives, leaving four plaintiffs in the case, the Chronicle said. The case could be the first to produce a verdict if no one else settles.
Overall, there are 19 pending claims out of 4,000 filed since the explosion, the Chronicle said.
The explosion killed 15 people.
