SHANGHAI (ICIS news) -- Tianjin Bohai Fine Chemical has lifted export offers of maleic anhydride (MA) by $30/tonne (€ 19.2/tonne) to $1,750/tonne FOB (free on board) for mid-July loading at Tianjin Port of north China, a company official said on Tuesday.

As Tianjin port will be subjected to export restriction on hazardous chemicals during the 2008 Olympics games, downstream buyers are ordering more cargoes during early-to-mid July period, he said.

“We lifted offers as there are so many buyers who want to order in the first half of July,” added the source.

Another MA producer Suzhou Hecheng Chemical offered MA export cargoes for July loading at $1,720/tonne FOB on 3 July, at Shanghai port, east China, a company official said.
