Ras Lanuf cracker in Libya down on tech issue

LONDON (ICIS news)--The cracker at Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Co (Rasco) cracker is down on a technical issue, a source at the Libyan petrochemicals firm said on Tuesday.

The cracker at Ras Lanuf on the northern Libyan coast went down on 13 July but was only expected to be out for “two to three days” the source said, adding that it was “not a big matter”.

The cracker has the capacity to produce 330,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 172,000 tonnes/year of propylene.
