Saudi Arabia's IMC plans methanol unit shutdown

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Saudi Arabia’s International Methanol Co (IMC) plans to shut down its 1m tonne/year plant for two weeks of maintenance from the second week of August, a company source said on Thursday.

The scheduled turnaround would last 14-20 days, he added.

IMC is a joint venture between Saudi International Petrochemical Co (Sipchem) and Japan-Arabia Methanol Co (JAMC).

Other major regional methanol producers include Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC), Oman Methanol, and Fanavaran Petrochemical Co.
