SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Qihua Chemicals started up its new 30,000 tonne/year liquid epoxy resin unit at Dalian city in north China on 15 July, a company source said on Thursday.

"We have already produced on-spec products since the next day or 16 July, and are offering DYD-128 (E-51)at yuan [CNY] 25,000/tonne [$3,671/tonne]," the source added.

"Liquid epoxy resin supply has outstripped demand in China market for a long time. Operation of the new unit means more products will flow into the market," another producer said.

Qihua Chemicals now has a total capacity of 80,000 tonnes/year of liquid epoxy resin including its first unit, which has an output of 50,000 tonnes/year.
