SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) has restarted the aromatics plant at its Huizhou site in southern Guangdong province after a weeklong maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
"We are ramping up the operation rate of this unit gradually after it restarted. We are trying our best to solve the feedstock shortage which was also the reason for its shutdown on 10 July," added the source.
The company’s sales would not be impacted as the company had sufficient inventories to supply to its customers until it resumed full operations, the source said.
The Huizhou aromatics plant produces 120,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 100,000 tonnes/year of xylene.
