HOUSTON (ICIS news)--BP settled four civil cases connected to the fatal 2005 explosion at its refinery in Texas City, Texas, the law firm representing the plaintiffs said on Tuesday.
The terms of the settlement were confidential, according to the firm, Brent Coon and Associates.
However, the terms were "favourable", the firm said. "Our clients are very pleased with the settlement, which provide some assurances of security for their long-term financial and medical needs."
BP was not immediately available for comment.
The explosion killed 15 people.
