SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Northeast Asian caprolactam contracts for July were mainly settled $45-55/tonne higher at $2,615-2,620/tonne amid upward pressure from feedstock costs, producers and end-users said on Friday.

The settlements were agreed on a CFR (cost and freight) NE Asia (northeast Asia) basis.

The July hike represented the second consecutive month of increase. Prices were hiked more than $100/tonne over June and July.

Key suppliers to Asia include Ube Industries, Sumitomo Chemical, BASF, China Petrochemical Development Corp and DSM Nanjing Chemical.
