TORONTO (ICIS news)--LyondellBasell has started up a new 30,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) compounding facility in Altamira, Mexico, the plastics and petrochemicals major said on Tuesday.

"With this new facility we are in an ideal position to support the growth that our customers in the region are experiencing,” said Steve Dwyer, vice president of LyondellBasell Automotive Americas.
