HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US industrial gas producer Air Products plans to build an air separation unit, which will supply oxygen and nitrogen to a coal-to-chemicals plant being built near Xi'an, China, the company said on Friday.
The unit should come on line by the end of 2010, Air Products said. It will produce more than 2,000 tons (1,814 tonnes)/day of oxygen.
The coal-to-chemicals plant is being built by Weihe Clean Energy, a subsidiary of Shaan'xi Weihe Coal Chemical Group.To discuss issues facing the chemical industry go to ICIS connect
