LONDON (ICIS news)--INEOS Nitriles has received unconditional clearance from the European Commission to buy the Seal Sands acrylonitrile (ACN) site on Teesside in the UK from BASF, the company said on Friday.
In a statement, INEOS said it expected the purchase to be completed within a month.
INEOS originally announced its intention to buy the 280,000 tonne/year ACN facility in March this year, but the European Comission requested further information pertaining to the proposed acquisition in June.
The company resubmitted the application on 25 June.
