MOVES: First global base chemicals VP for Shell

LONDON (ICIS news)--Graham van't Hoff has been appointed vice-president of global base chemicals after operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific/Middle East were consolidated into one global division, Shell Chemicals said on Friday.

Stacy Methvin, currently vice-president of base chemicals in the Americas, will be leaving chemicals to take up a new role as vice-president of supply strategy and the downstream portfolio from 1 September 2008, it said.

Methvin is also president and CEO of the Shell Chemicals business in the US, Shell Chemical LP.

Nigel Hobson has joined the Shell Chemicals leadership team as vice-president of operations and HSSE, the company said.

Sven Royall, currently vice-president of customer services and intermediates, was appointed vice-president of global Intermediates.

Lastly, Iain Lo now has accountability for all new business development activities in addition to his current responsibilities in a role as vice-president of new business development and ventures.
