HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Total Petrochemicals will shut down its polypropylene (PP) trains 5, 6 and 7 in LaPorte, Texas, ahead of Tropical Storm Edouard, the company said Monday in a filing with state regulators.
The LaPorte facility, one of the largest PP plants in the world, has a capacity of 1.066m tonnes/year, according to company data.
The shutdown was scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm Houston time (22:00 GMT) and last 48 hours, the company said.
