Spolchemie plans turnaround at Czech ECH plant

LONDON (ICIS news)--Spolchemie will carry out a maintenance turnaround at its epichlorohydrin (ECH) and epoxy resin operations in Usti Nad Labem, Czech Republic, at the end of September, said a company source on Tuesday.

 

The Spolchemie source said the shutdown was scheduled to last approximately 21 days and added stocks would be built up in advance to cover contractual obligations, with little or no spot material available.

 

Capacity details were not disclosed.

 

Epoxy resins are versatile polymers used in the manufacture of adhesives, industrial coatings such as in the construction sector, paints and structural parts needed by the automotive, aerospace and aircraft industries
