NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India’s state trading house MMTC Limited has invited global tenders for supply of 18,000 tonnes of sulphur at Vizag port in Andhra Pradesh State during second half of August, a company official said on Wednesday.
The bidders have also been asked to quote for optional consignment of 15,000-18,000 tonnes for delivery at an unspecified port on the West or East coast. MMTC has right to accept or reject the optional offers.
The last date for submission of offers is 11 August with validity up to 14 August. The company has sought bright yellow crude material in form of granules/flakes/pellets/prills with sulphur content of 99.5% on dry basis.
MMTC did not indicate the names of the chemical or fertilizer company on whose behalf it intended to purchase sulphur.
