US crude sheds gains to trade around $115/bbl

LONDON (ICIS news)--NYMEX light sweet crude futures fell by more than $1/bbl when the US markets opened on Thursday to take the front-month September contract briefly below $115/bbl.

By 13:20 GMT, September NYMEX crude had hit a low of $114.97/bbl, a loss of $1.03/bbl from the previous close of $116.00/bbl, before recovering to around $115.30/bbl.

At the same time, September Brent crude on ICE Futures was trading around $113.10/bbl, having hit a low of $112.80/bbl, a loss of $0.67/bbl from the previous close.
