HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Increased regulation and a market shift to water-based solvents in Europe may have been the cause of a general decline in US chlorinated solvent exports during the first half of 2008, sources said on Thursday.
US exports of trichloroethylene (TCE) and dichloromethane decreased, while perchloroethylene (perc) exports remained flat in the first six months of 2008 compared with the same period in 2007, according to the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
