Cepea assessed hydrous ethanol at Brazilian reais (R) 0.7111/litre ($1.64/gal), up by 2.45% from R0.6941/litre in the previous week.
Cepea said anhydrous ethanol prices were down again last week, as supply continued to exceed demand.
Anhydrous ethanol was assessed at R0.8494/litre, down by 1.06% from R0.8585/litre a week earlier.
Cepea’s price assessments are ex-tank and do not include a federal tax of 3.65% levied on both hydrous and anhydrous product. A state tax of 12% is also applied to hydrous ethanol in
($1 = R1.64)
