SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Bluestar Petrochemical Tianjin has delayed the restart of its 30,000 tonne/year butadiene (BD) unit in Tianjin city by nine days to 20 August due to shortage of feedstock C4, a company source said on Wednesday.
"We have to delay the unit restart as we still do not have sufficient feedstock C4," the source said, adding that the unit could start producing on-spec material from Thursday.
The company, a subsidiary of China National BlueStar Corp, had shut down the BD unit on 22 July and had originally planned to restart around 11 August.
