SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korean aromatics major SK Energy restarted its Incheon-based aromatics plant early this week after a regular shutdown lasting about one and a half months, said a company source on Thursday.
The facility producing about 100,000 tonnes/year of toluene had been shut down around end of July, said the source, without specifying the exact date of the shutdown.
No details were available about the plant’s benzene and mixed xylenes capacity.
The company is expecting to reach on-spec production in one or two days’ time, he added.
S-Oil, YNCC, LG Chem and Honam Petrochemical are some of South Korea’s other key aromatics producers.
