HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Pemex Petroquímica has scheduled a maintenance stop of its Cangrejera ethylene facility to take place in early October, Pemex polymers marketing executive Alejandro Ramírez Chavez said on Thursday.
According to Ramírez Chavez, the procedure will start on 8 October and is expected to be completed by 15 November if the works proceed according to schedule.
The Cangrejera facility produces 1,600 tonnes/day of ethylene, the source said.
Pemex is already making provisions to increase inventories of ethylene to keep downstream plants supplied, Ramírez Chavez said.
