NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India’s Indofil Organic Industries Limited (IOIL) will set up a pesticides plant at Dahej special economic zone (SEZ) near Bharuch in Gujarat, a company source said on Monday.
The export-focused plant would cost Indian rupees (Rs) 800m ($18.2m) and would produce three major fungicides and by-product manganese carbonate, which is used as fertiliser additive and as ingredient in certain ceramic products.
He did not indicate the start-up target for the project.
It would have capacity to produce 45,000 tonnes/year of Mancozeb and its formulations, 5,000 tonnes/year of Cymoxanil and its formulations, 5,000 tonnes/year of Tricyclazole and its formulations and 18,000 tonnes/year of manganese carbonate.
IOIL currently manufactures pesticides, construction chemicals, performance and specialty chemicals at Thane in
