LONDON (ICIS news)--US producer Mosaic has yet to restart its Faustina phosphate fertilizer plant which was taken down in anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Gustav in the US Gulf, a source at the company said on Tuesday.

Mosaic shut down the Faustina diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP) plant in Louisiana as a precaution on Sunday 31 August.

There were still power outages in the area, added the source.

Mosaic sources were uncertain when the plant, which has the capacity to produce 1.8m tonnes/year of DAP/MAP, would restart.
