SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China-based Hebei Jinniu Chemical Industry Corp Ltd plans to resume the construction of an 80,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in northern Hebei province after a 33-month hiatus due to financial problems, a company source said on Wednesday.
“Resumption of the plant construction has been approved by the company’s board but it still needs to pass through the general shareholders’ meeting,” the source said.
The plant, with an investment of yuan (CNY) ?xml:namespace>
“The plant construction was around 80% done and the imported equipment has arrived, so I think it will not take long to finish,” a second company source said.
