HOUSTON (ICIS news)--The restart of Terra’s 500,000 tonne/year ammonia plant in Donaldsonville, Louisiana has been delayed again, this time because the region is without electricity, a source close to the operation said on Wednesday.
The company originally planned to resume production at the plant as early as July, before announcing a series of delays.
The electrical outage in parts of Louisiana is also affecting ammonia plants owned by CF Industries.
Terra’s Donaldsonville plant was originally mothballed in December 2004 because of high natural gas prices.
