GAIL plans to double C2 capacity at Indian site

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--GAIL (India) Limited plans to double the ethylene (C2) capacity of its petrochemical complex in Pata, Uttar Pradesh state, the company said on Thursday.

When work is completed, the complex will have an ethylene capacity of 800,000 tonnes/year.

GAIL also plans to increase the polymer capacity at the complex, said UD Choubey, company chairman. Choubey was speaking at the company's annual meeting.

Choubey did not disclose capacity details of the expansion.
