SEATTLE, Washington (ICIS news)--Electricity was restored on Sunday to CF Industries’s massive Louisiana ammonia and urea complex in Donaldsonville, sources said on Monday.

A company spokesperson did not immediately return messages left seeking comment.

Speaking at the World Fertilizer Conference, the sources said electricity had been restored at CF’s two ammonia units at the complex that produce 566,000 tonnes/year and 432,000 tonnes/year, and four urea units that make 320,000 tonnes/year, 285,000 tonnes/year, 200,000 tonnes/year and 150,000 tonnes/year.

It was not immediately clear if production had resumed.

The sites had been down in the wake of inclement weather from Hurricane Gustav.

The 2008 World Fertilizer Conference, hosted by The Fertilizer Institute, runs through Tuesday.
