NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--The International Finance Corp (IFC) is considering funding $100m fatty acid expansion project of Indonesia-based Ecogreen Oleochemicals, IFC said on Tuesday.

The project envisages setting up of a third fatty acid line with 120,000 tonnes/year of capacity at the company’s existing production site at Batam island, Kepulanuan Riau province.

The proposed plant would utilise refined bleached deodorised palm stearine (RBDPS) as feedstock.

IFC has not yet disclosed the details of funding proposal for the project and when its board were expected to sanction funds.

IFC, the World Bank’s private sector funding arm, had twice provided project-related loans to the company in 2005 and 2003.
