NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--The State Trading Corp of India Ltd (STC) said on Wednesday it sought global bids for the supply of an unspecified amount of urea for delivery during September-November.
This public sector company said the last date for the submission of bids was 23 September, adding bidders would have to keep their offers valid until 30 September.
The company had left it to the bidders to specify the quantity they could offer, it said.
The selected bidders would have to ship cargo in parcel size of 25,000/40,000 tonnes if supplies were offered on free on board trimmed (FOBT) basis, the company added.
If bidders offered cargo on panamax vessels on a credit and freight free out (C&FFO) arrangement, then they would have to bear all expenses including pre-berth delays and other incidental costs, it said.
“STC reserves [the] exclusive right to purchase on FOBT/C&FFO basis at its sole discretion,” the company added.
It would like deliveries at any of the 15 ports on the west and east coasts mentioned in the tender document, STC said.
