HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical has declared force majeure (FM) for all polyether polyols - a polyurethane feedstock - made at its Freeport plant in Texas due to Hurricane Ike, the company said on Friday.
The company said disruptions to utilities, raw material supplies and logistics, including delays related to Hurricane Gustav, all slowed recovery efforts and a return to normal operations.
Dow’s Freeport polyols plant was temporarily idled in preparation for Hurricane Ike and was only now being mobilised to resume production.
