TORONTO (ICIS news)--Slovnaft Petrochemicals will use LyondellBasell’s Lupotech T technology for its planned 220,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) project in Bratislava in the Slovak Republic, the companies said on Tuesday.
The facility is expected to start up in 2012.
The new Slovnaft plant was the 17th Lupotech T technology license granted since 2000. Over 7m tonnes of licensed capacity were running on the technology,
“Lupotech T has established itself as the clear market leader in high pressure LDPE technology,” added Just Jansz, president of LyondellBasell’s technology business.
