Romania's Govora reports H1 net losses of €10m

BUCHAREST (ICIS news)--Romania's Uzinele Sodice Govora (USG) has reported first-half net losses of New Lei 36.6m (€10m, $14.8m), compared with a net loss of New Lei12.4 m in the year-earlier period, the sodium compounds maker said on Wednesday.

Turnover increased 39% to New Lei 73.4m, the company added, without commenting further on the results.

USG is Romania's main soda ash producer, producing 250,000 tonnes/year of sodium compounds. It is majority owned by Poland's Ciech.
