HOUSTON (ICIS news)--CF Industries has resumed production of all units at its huge nitrogen fertilizer complex in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, after electricity and natural gas supplies had been restored to the area, it said on Thursday.

In a sign the region’s infrastructure is recovering from the damage caused by recent hurricanes, CF Industries's last urea unit to come back online began production on Wednesday.

The complex includes 566,000 tonne/year and 432,000 tonne/year ammonia plants and 320,000 tonne/year, 285,000 tonne/year, 200,000 tonne/year and 150,000 tonne/year urea plants.

CF Industries had shut down the complex in early September as a result of Hurricane Gustav, then it remained offline as Hurricane Ike neared the US Gulf coast.

No substantial damage was reported to the complex.
