HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Two US suppliers settled the September large-buyer acetone contract with a methyl methacrylate (MMA) producer at 63 cents/lb ($1,389/tonne, €945/tonne), down 12 % from the August contract, the participants said on Thursday.

The August contract was settled at 71.5 cents/lb, according to data from global chemical market intelligence service ICIS pricing.

The monthly marker is negotiated between one major buyer and two major sellers and accounts for at least 40% of the volume of acetone sold in the US.
