Chiba Styrene to turnaround unit on 20 Oct

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Japanese styrene monomer (SM) producer, Chiba Styrene, plans to shut its 290,000 tonnes/year facility on 20 October for maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

 

The unit, located in Chiba, will be down for around 29 days.

 

Chiba Styrene is a joint venture between Japanese majors Denki Kagaku and Sumitomo Chemicals.

 

Other Japanese styrene producers include Asahi Kasei Corp, Idemitsu Kosan Co, Nihon Oxirane Co and Mitsubishi Chemicals.
