TORONTO (ICIS news)--Celanese has resumed operations at all of its Texas Gulf Coast plants which had been shut down due to Hurricane Ike, the US producer said on Friday.

The plants had incurred only minimal structural damage from the storm, it said.
The financial impact from the shutdown was about $10m-15m (€6.8m-10.3m) of operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) but would not affect Celanese’s 2008 full-year earnings per share outlook of $3.60-3.85, it said.
