LONDON (ICIS news)--Industrial producer prices rose 10.4% year on year on the 27-member EU in August, while chemicals prices rose 8.9%, official statistics agency Eurostat said on Tuesday.
In the 15-member eurozone, overall industrial producer prices rose 8.5% in the same period, while chemicals prices were up 7.9%.
Compared with July, general prices dropped 0.7% in the EU in August and by 0.5% in the eurozone.
Month on month, chemicals prices rose by 1% in both the EU and eurozone.
