Sasol restarts S Africa acetone unit

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Sasol has restarted its acetone unit in South Africa after a routine turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

 

The unit, which could produce around 170,000 tonnes/year of acetone, was taken offline in early September for month-long maintenance, the source added.

 

Sasol supplies acetone into the Middle East and southeast Asian markets from the plant.
