HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Here is Friday’s end-of-day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.
CRUDE: WTI $93.10/bbl (down 78 cents), BRENT $90.25/bbl (down 31 cents)
US crude futures slipped in after-hours electronic Globex trading, following an extremely volatile floor session. In spite of the passage by the US Congress of a rescue package, lingering doubts regarding a credit crunch and declining energy demand pressured the market.
*Brent reflects the value of the ICE settlement on the day.
NATURAL GAS: $7.358/MMBtu, down 12.3
Natural gas futures prices followed the trend down in the energy complex.
RBOB: $2.2283/gal, down 2.67 cents
Reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygenate blending (RBOB) futures prices moved lower on the back of crude oil prices and demand showing signs of further weakening.
BENZENE: October spot prices were steady at $3.95-4.00/gal FOB (free on board).
ETHYLENE: October spot ethylene was heard traded at 56 cents/lb for Equistar pipeline delivery, down from deals earlier in the week at 62.5 cents/lb for September and 57 cents/lb for October, both Equistar delivery.
PROPYLENE: Spot refinery grade propylene (RGP) notional prices were unchanged at 50.0-50.5 cents/lb with no deals heard.
