SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--China’s Tangshan Zhongrun has restarted its 100,000 tonne/year methanol facility in Hebei province, a company source said on Monday.

The unit, which uses oven coal gas as a feedstock, was shut on 20 September for scheduled maintenance, the source added.

Trading activities in China were thin last week due to the National Day holidays.

Methanol prices were notionally assessed unchanged at $355-360/tonne CFR (cost and freight) China, according to global chemical intelligence service ICIS pricing.

Other methanol producers in China include CNOOC Kingboard Chemical Ltd and Yanzhou Coal Industry Yulin Energy Ltd.
